Delta quick links of galvanized steel

The delta shape is a great connector for any slackline, longline and highline. The smooth surface and the wide side of the delta is great to take the flat surface of wider textile connectors such as a round sling spanset.

  • 8 mm 25 kN: great to connect webbings and slings to smaller objects (sling, rope, etc…);
  • 10 mm 30 kN: the strongest, to increase safety and connects to: linelocks, pulleys, slings and multi point rock bolts anchors.

Delta quick links

The quick link is a cheaper and smaller connector than a carabiner but stronger. The quick link is  a perfect connector for anything that is meant to be permanently installed, the alternative to a carabiner which is meant to be opened and closed repeatedly.

Delta quick links galvanized steel

The quick links are made of steel and are galvanized to prevent corrosion and oxydation when they remain in damp environments. In the case of salty marine environments, it is necessary to choose stainless steel quick links.

Delta quick links frequent uses

The Delta quick links, contrary to what you might think, are not intended for tri-loads, but rather to connect wider textile connectors such as a round sling spanset.

Frequent use:

  • To connect a round sling spanset to an anchor plate of your pulley system;
  • To connect a round sling spanset to highline rock anchor plates.

Occasional use:

  • To connect a round sling spanset to a pulley or to a line lock.
  • To equalize slings in a highline set-up (this is not an effective tri-loading).

Forbidden use:

  • Trickline;
  • Tril-oading, for example connecting a longline set-up to a tree with a sling.

Warnings

Always check if you have closed the quick links before use. If you forget closing them, they may bend quickly when put under tension. For a permanent safety lock, they must be closed with a wrench. Finger pressure strength is sufficient to use as a semi-permanent connector.

When finished using it, keep the quick link screw closed even when at rest. In fact, in the case of non-use over a long period, with exposure to open air, dust or atmospheric agents, the nut could get stuck permanently.
