How to choose a LONGLINE SLACKLINE KITS
There are 3 families of slackline longline kits divided by the different tension types: with tie down ratchets, with carabiners and webbing, with rope pulley system.
All three systems have strengths and weaknesses, read and find out which is the most suitable system to get you into the thrill of the longline slackline.
Tension with tie down ratchets
The advantage of ratchets is certainly the quick and simple set up. This system comes from the 5 cm slackline kits and has been adapts to the 2.5 cm longlines through the SPACERS installed in the ratchet.
If you have no experience with a pulley system and you want to approach the long line without sacrificing the convenience of an easy set up, choose the KIT FLY, available in 25, 35 or 50 m lengths.
Primitive, tensioning with carabiners and longline
You can't consider yourself a pure longliner if you've never built a primitive pulley system. The name comes from the simplicity of the system: only carabiners and an aluminum ring that lock the webbing on itself.
You just need a little practice to become familiar with the system. One of the advantages of this system is lightness, just few pieces to be able to travel with very light weight.
If you want to feel the emotion of the real slacklining, start with the PRIMITIVE KITS available in the LIGHT version with aluminum carabiners, or in steel with 30 or 50 m lenght.
The advanced world of rope pulley system
If you've already walked a 50 m line you already know what you need to go further. The rope pulley is the top longline slackline gear to increase the tension capacity. Whether you are in the park or in a highline, the pulley systema is a necessary to set up a longline at a proper tension.
