Bungee Configuration chart

Thanks to bungees every webbing (PES, PA, HIGHTECH) can be used into freestyle. This chart will help you to chose your bungees configuration.

If you like to create more configuration, keep in mind the WLL of 2,5 kN has to be respected for each single element.

Using un-equilibrated chain of elements, i.e. I3 + U1 or U2 + U1, the weaker element will be almost the only one to elongate.

Forbidden configuration

I1 (single bungee) or any derivated configurations (i.e I1 + U1, I1 + I1) are allowed only on Rodeo line (<2,5 kN)

Bungee and temperature

Cold temperatures, use to make bungees smoother (more elongation). If you are rigging I2 in summer, then in winter you might need rig it in I3.

Remark on V-Shape

Rigging in V-Shape can be sometimes more convenient due to anchor configuration (i.e. with bolts) however you have to equilize properly the legs.

The riding feeling of an equilized V-shape or I-shape will be basically the same.

Safety and Backup Info

A strong backup for the bungees is highly recommended. We suggest our BACKUP EXTENDER with minimum 2,5 times longer than your bungee configuration with no tension (i.e. I2-Shape bungee require 2,5 x 65 = 162,5 cm so choose 2 m EXTENDER).

Like a webbing, ,if you rig in permarig, bungees capacity and strenght will decrease faster. Estimated span life of bungee is 200 days of tensioning, but can be shortened by several factors. Read carefully manual and if you feel your bungee is becoming anormally smooth, it's time to replace it.
