TYPE X - MAIN TO BACKUP SEWN CONNECTION 

A safer connection for your highline sessions set-up at lower height or big length and a great solution for more comfortable trickhighline training.

  • Structure: T-stitched eyelet with anti-abrasion coating;
  • High-Tenacity: made in Germany (GUTERMANN) polyester yarn;
  • Diameter : 7 cm;
  • Protection: (black tubular sock): optionally CLASSIC one layer, JUMBO double layer;
  • MinimumBreakingStrength: keeping between 90% and 100% MBS of webbing's original MBS;
  • Compatibility: available for all 15-26 mm webbings ;
  • Connector: compatibility: OVAL QUICK LINK 8MM or greater.

TYPE-X connection for main to backup connections

Our TYPE X system allows you to connect a backup line to the main line in one, main central position by sewing.

This connection has been designed in order to reduce the fall height and the shock load on a human body during a potential backup fall.

This precaution (safety-system) is mandatory for highline set-ups longer than 50 m, especially in case of using webbing as a backup and if the height is not enough to assure to not touch the ground in case of a backup fall.

Compatibility and position

The TYPE-X is compatible any webbing of 24-26 mm width.

We recommend to select the same webbing as main and back up, but this is not mandatory. 

As example:

SPIT100 NYLOVE as main + 110 METER (NO LOOPS) NYLOVE as backup. This allows you to regulate the backup length on each ends coming from the middle sewing point (type x sewing).

Safety, warnings and responsibilities

This item can not be considered as PPE (personal protective equipment) gear. Slackline and especially Highline practice hasn't gotten any specific law regulations yet, concerning gear or set-ups, thus we can't guarantee our product's integrity for highlining. Our gear has been tested in external laboratories and internally by our company. 

The results have no legal value, but aim to ensure the items maximum safety.

The user has the responsibility to choose the right gear for the right situation, judged through competences of an expert slackliner.
